About the Artist

A love for the arts is deeply engraved into my being. From a very young age music has been a great part of it. I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to study many traditions under many masters. Indian classical music was the gateway music that opened a whole new world from me. From there many other influences crept in, from the Cajun music of Louisiana to the musical traditions of the Upper Midwest, the place I call my home.

With time, my interest in the visual arts stemmed out into flute, drum, and n'goni making. These art forms bring things full circle and allow me the ability to create physical object of music, but also the resulting new sounds and music from my own work. The artistic process is an evolving one. My ultimate goal to to create instruments that feel natural in the hands of a player. Instruments that sing with us. Art objects that visually inspire us.
