Orchids
My love affair with orchids began when I was just nine years old, taking in a struggling Dendrobium in need of some extra care. Decades later, that childhood spark has bloomed into a lifelong passion for one of the largest flooring plant families on Earth. Today, I cultivate a thriving indoor sanctuary of over 500 orchids, keeping them cozy and sheltered from harsh Midwestern winters(and now summers). As an active leader in the plant community, I serve as a Board Director for the Orchid Growers Guild of Madison and am a Student Judge with the American Orchid Society. Above all, I delight in demystifying these extraordinary flowers and sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm with growers of all levels. Please reach out if you are interested in me giving a talk at your local orchid club or event.
